Dr. Elizabeth “Betsy” Larsen was born in Green Bay, WI, and first wanted to be a veterinarian at the age of 5. Growing up she showed Quarter Horses at a national level, with a special passion for showmanship and trail. Betsy attended Colorado State University for her undergraduate education and graduated in 2015 with degrees in Equine Science and Biomedical Sciences. She also attended Colorado State University for her veterinary education. Betsy worked at the CSU veterinary teaching hospital as a student equine surgery technician and a student radiology technician during her undergraduate and veterinary educations. After graduating in with her DVM in 2019, she went on to be an equine rotating intern at Mississippi State University. In her free time, Betsy enjoys horseback riding, running, hiking, skiing, and spending time with her two dogs, Jake and Gus.
