Biography

Alexandra Allen was born and raised in Kansas. Her educational training started at Kansas University where she obtained a BA in Psychology. She then completed a MS in Cell and Molecular Biology at the University of Missouri at Kansas City. Her undying passion for animals led her to veterinary school at the College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University where she was president of the Class of 2020. With an interest in pursuing further training and education upon graduation, she completed a small animal rotating internship at The Animal Medical Center in New York City. Her time in their busy emergency room and ICU only reinforced her desire to work with patients of utmost need in emergent situations and those that are critically ill.

When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her own pets; a German Shepherd mix named Francesca, a Rottweiler named Walter and spicey, but loveable cat named Diego. Alex also loves to spend time with friends and family, bake and lounge in the sun with a good book and attend sporting events. She loves traveling and she plans to make her way over to Greece, Spain, Australia and New Zealand one day after residency!
