Kris N. Ramdass - DVM (Dist.)

Kris N. Ramdass
Emergency and Critical Care
As we delve into the vast world of veterinary medicine, I Kris Ramdass; a graduate from The University of the West Indies (UWI) of the twin island republic of Trinidad and Tobago, find myself embarking on an exciting journey. A journey which I hope would lead to my eventual double board certification in both Emergency and Critical Care as well as Surgery. I have been working in referral private practice since my graduation from UWI in 2012.  The experience has shaped me into the clinician that I am today, making me passionate about the field of veterinary medicine.  It has afforded me the opportunity to be a part of intense medical cases, exhilarating fracture repairs as well as, but not limited to, in-depth soft tissue procedures both surgical and diagnostic/therapeutic in nature. This only fueled my desire to further my studies to hone my skills as a diagnostician and clinician, to partake in clinical research and be a part of the ever-evolving world of veterinary medicine. Thus, I have chosen to walk the road towards becoming a specialist and fully experience the field of veterinary medicine in all that is has to offer. A thousand-mile journey begins with the first step and I will forever be grateful to Tuft University, Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine for giving me privilege to take these initial steps with them.
